The Planning Commission hosted an open forum meeting on April 30, 2009 regarding the Land Use Element portion of the General Plan.
It was a "standing room" only meeting with many of the attendees spilling into the Courthouse foyer.
Another meeting is being planned, hopefully, in a much larger venue!
Stay tuned for date/time/place.

Keep This In Mind
We have heard many comments regarding the possibility of development in the Cutten/Ridgewood area as being impossible due to the economic problems we are facing today.
The economic climate DOES NOT stop developers from LAYING THE GROUNDWORK for development decades in the future!
We, as citizens and taxpayers MUST be vigilant by keeping ourselves aware of what is going on under our noses by demanding all of our elected, paid an volunteer staff keep our interests in the forefront! Check the following website on a regular basis: www.humboldtccrd.org for updates.
All development must consider safety, traffic, environment, quality of rural life, neighborhood compatability and future tax burdens placed on the residents of rural Humboldt County.
